[Event]
*another instance of marks burning happened. It was sometime during the extremely early hours of the morning, and it ended just as soon as it came.
Of course, without any real leads, it might be hard to figure out just what's going on, but one hooded person who's been trying to clutch at straws is hanging out in an alleyway, trying desperately to try to pick up on something. Anything. And well... let's just say he hasn't been having much luck.

If you want a B route though: Tezaki Kou is at the library, going over some recent news articles on the computer. They seem to be about crime and disappearances that've happened recently in Domino City, if you look closely. Why would someone be looking at that?*

[B Route]
That looks pretty interestin'.
Re: [B Route]
*... ... you have a poker face, Kou. Use it.*
It is. It's interesting how much happens that people don't notice. Sir.
Re: [B Route]
Re: [B Route]
Well, it happens, really. No one likes to hear about the Duel Gangs that're still around, or muggings, or things like that. They start to tune it out.
Re: [B Route]
Why I heard a UFO landed in an abandoned factory area the other night and it started operatin' again.
How many of those gangs actually have teeth, tho?

"Is that the guy who disappeared a few months ago?"
Re: [Event B]
*glances over his shoulder at this... person who just suddenly spoke up*
Huh?
Re: [Event B]
"S-sorry man. It's just, I've also been looking into this. I'm uh, Renat Zima Briar."
Re: [Event B]
Nice... To meet you? I'm Tezaki, Kou.
And I'm more just looking at the general news, but... I did notice that disappearance case, yeah. There's been more than a few disappearances over the months, but those sorts of things happen.
Re: [Event B]
He does, apparently. And this one smells like the polar opposite of Trena. Cold. DARK. He grins a little, flipping off his shades.
"I recognize you now. You were my..." This seems to pain him to say. "..older sister's tag partner when ya won it all. And... it happens, but that don't make it right or it any less tragic."

[Route B]
*Yubel is at the library and spots Kou by the computers, she wanders over curiously and spots the articles he's looking at over his shoulder.
Crime and disappearances in Domino City? She smirks to herself.
Maybe her hunch on him being an assassin was right after all? Maybe he's making sure he left no evidence?
Either way, this conversation could be fun.*
Those are interesting articles you're reading, dear.
Re: [Route B]
*okay, you, definitely, he can't effectively poker face around. Though he doesn't seem so much surprised by you being there, so much as you suddenly addressing him...*
Well-- aren't they? There's a lot of things that happen in the city that no one notices.
Re: [Route B]
Most people are too busy going about their daily lives to take much notice, I find. To absorbed in their own problems to focus on the problems of others, or what's going on around them.
And sometimes things happen in the shadows where no-one can see.
Re: [Route B]
Well... Disappointingly, in that sort of case. It means a lot of these things of things go unsolved for the families involved in it. They're not really high-priority compared to stuff like monster attacks or whatever, that might sometimes happen.
Re: [Route B]
Makes you wonder what happened to them, hm?
Seems the ones who recently went missing were salarymen of sorts? Maybe they were prayed on by some demon looking for a snack? Or maybe they faked their disappearance to run off to another life?
Or maybe they just got in with a bad crowd, made a wrong step and...
*She makes a cutting motion across her neck with her finger.* ...gone!

Not that they have too much of a lead, and the Bloodhound Dragons only go so far, so they've been making use of another ability: The ability to summon monsters. Specifically: D.D. Crows. Having used them before for reconnaissance, they've repeatedly proved to be handy for radiuses of up to a mile (though even that was pushing it somewhat).
When one of their birds returned and they scanned the memory of it though, something caught their eye-- a hooded person was snooping around one of the alleyways, not even five minutes ago.
They recognized that hood, but it must be a coincidence, right?
But they couldn't just ignore it, so they went on their way to find this spot.*
Re: [A]
But the best he could find were scratches in the ground. A few of them looked like they were made by a knife, but others looked like an animal scratched into it, instead. What type of animal though, he couldn't begin to tell.
He shook his head. Ever since the first burning sensation this time around, he's been attempting to track down what this was, even long after the trail had gone cold. And sadly, this one looked to be going cold too... But at least out of both times, they've both led him to an alleyway, and both times, there was always that scent in the air like something had been incinerated.
Least there was consistency. He straightened up the mask that covered the lower half of his face, before he heard a shout.
"Hey! Stop right there!"
He turned and looked, seeing Shian, one of the Signers, standing at the entryway of the alley, and looking aggravated.
Oh, great, just what he needed today.*
Re: [A]
They yelled out before they had a chance to think about it (an honest mistake, of course), and was caught off guard as the other Signer stopped and stared at them. A moment's hesitation, before they started to speak again.*
You heard me, right? I said to stop right there. You have some questions to answer.
Re: [A]
Shouldn't you be concerning yourself with your own problems, as you other Signers do? Or is that not enough for you right now?
Re: [A]
I've got a problem, yeah. A problem with whoever you are, kid. Now what're you doing snooping around an alleyway?
