[Event]
*another instance of marks burning happened. It was sometime during the extremely early hours of the morning, and it ended just as soon as it came.
Of course, without any real leads, it might be hard to figure out just what's going on, but one hooded person who's been trying to clutch at straws is hanging out in an alleyway, trying desperately to try to pick up on something. Anything. And well... let's just say he hasn't been having much luck.

If you want a B route though: Tezaki Kou is at the library, going over some recent news articles on the computer. They seem to be about crime and disappearances that've happened recently in Domino City, if you look closely. Why would someone be looking at that?*

Re: [Event B]
*glances over his shoulder at this... person who just suddenly spoke up*
Huh?
Re: [Event B]
"S-sorry man. It's just, I've also been looking into this. I'm uh, Renat Zima Briar."
Re: [Event B]
Nice... To meet you? I'm Tezaki, Kou.
And I'm more just looking at the general news, but... I did notice that disappearance case, yeah. There's been more than a few disappearances over the months, but those sorts of things happen.
Re: [Event B]
He does, apparently. And this one smells like the polar opposite of Trena. Cold. DARK. He grins a little, flipping off his shades.
"I recognize you now. You were my..." This seems to pain him to say. "..older sister's tag partner when ya won it all. And... it happens, but that don't make it right or it any less tragic."
Re: [Event B]
Wait, you're related to-- I-I mean, yeah, we're still partners in a way, when she isn't getting whisked off by people to far reaches unknown and all. *careful, he almost showed emotion there about this*
And it doesn't make it right, but there's a lot of things that slip through the cracks.
*he scrolls through the news to what happened in the last day or so... looks like another disappearance happened at some point, too. someone went out late to a convenience store, but they never came home and no one can figure out where they went*
Re: [Event B]
He stares at that.
"There was another one? Fuckin'... hell.
And, yeah, but people ain't supposed to be the things slipping through the cracks. When duelists do it, it's... This is pretty selfish on my part, but, uh. Two heads are better than one on this kinda stuff."
Re: [Event B]
Wait, are you asking for... my help on this kinda stuff?
Re: [Event B]
"... yeah. I...
Sorry. I've just been looking into this. That was stupid of me to say. I just got a little excited that someone else was looking at it too."
Re: [Event B]
Oh, no, no, I'm wondering too, but I'm mostly just looking out of curiosity? It's not like I've got any skills to figure something like this out, let alone solve it.
But... why do you think these people have vanished?
Re: [Event B]
"I dunno. At North Academy we basically ghost stories about this place. Why we never sent anyone over anymore. And then they picked me... So, it's a mystery I swore I'd solve.
But this isn't on the island's weird places that I've seen and gotten info on. This is... in the middle of town. Just vanished. My first guess is always gonna be mundane, y'know? Yakuza debts or something. But I don't think they're real present here. So that leaves falling into a gap or something or... something taking them?"
Re: [Event B]
Well...
*he leans back in his chair a bit, looking at the screen*
I guess the first thing you'd have to ask is if the victims of the disappearances had any connection at all?
Re: [Event B]
"If anything, yes. Do they though?"
Re: [Event B]
Well... as far as the news says? That's "nothing".
There's no mention about the recent person being related to any other cases like this. So I'm guessing there's no connection at all.
So either they're connected in some way that isn't obvious, or whoever or whatever caused the disappearances isn't targeting anyone in particular? It's not like there's a lot of cases exactly like this, though.
Re: [Event B]
Re: [Event B]
Oh, but they both happened really late at night.
Re: [Event B]
Maybe it's isolation at night then? Easy ass targets if you're doing nefarious shit."
Re: [Event B]
Probably whoever is doing it doesn't want to be seen around, in any case. And whoever it is, has done this so far in Domino City.
I mean, the first guy wasn't even from Domino.
Re: [Event B]
"Jeez... If it's even a person. My money's still on 'falling into a hole.' How close were the places they were last seen to each other?"
Re: [Event B]
Uh... One moment.
*Kou brings up the articles. puts in the addresses...*
Well... I'd say they were less than two kilometers away from each other. *so around a mile or so? that's still a pretty decent gap, but maybe not insurmountable...*
Re: [Event B]
"So it's not impossible, I guess. Just not likely. But that gives a small... range. Might be worth checking out at some point. Look for the creepiest, darkest alley."
Re: [Event B]
Alleys? You think you'll just find someone in there?
Re: [Event B]
"I don't know, but it'd be worth a shot, right? I'd just need... There's a dog that can track people, so if I can just steal one of those from the police..."
He's... he's getting real carried away.
Re: [Event B]
Maybe you shouldn't be stealing dogs from the police.
Why not just use your sister? Doesn't she have an amazing sense of smell or something?
